Enjoy a boating holiday between lake and ocean
Although our 4-star Le Tedey campsite doesn’t have a swimming pool, it does offer access to Lac de Lacanau, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, along with Lac Hourtin-Carcans. In an exceptional natural setting, the whole family can enjoy a variety of water sports and leisure activities.
The Moutchic beach, which is very lively in summer, is the ideal place to try stand-up paddling, canoeing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water-skiing or kitesurfing. You’ll easily find a school where you can take a few paddle lessons and many other water sports activities. Lac de Lacanau is also renowned for catamaran and motorboat sailing, with or without a license.
Lacanau, Biscarrosse, Cap Ferret and Hossegor are just some of the renowned surfing spots popular with board sports fans! Head for the Atlantic Ocean for your first surf lesson!
Family activitiesin Lacanau’s water parks
Laughter and thrills await you in the inflatables and slides of Splash Park Hourtin, Splash Park Lacanau and Aquapark de Carcans-Maubuisson. These open-air water playgrounds await you on Lac du Moutchic and Carcans-Hourtin. They are accessible from age 7, provided you can swim, and cost from €16 per person for an hour in the structures.
If you’re more of a pool-swimmer, you’ll love the Aqualiday water park in Lacanau, with its bubbling pools, wave lagoons, wild river and waterfall. The little ones can splash around in the paddling pool and enjoy a covered, heated play area.
