The Dune du Pilat, located on the Atlantic coast of southwest France, is the highest dune in Europe, stretching for almost three kilometers along the Arcachon beach. Rising to around 110 metres above sea level, it offers spectacular views of the Arcachon Basin, the surrounding forest and the Atlantic Ocean.
